Tee time! ⛳️ Today the Trojan golf team competed the Swink Invite held in La junta. This tournament was larger than in the past with 17 teams and 75 golfers total! As a team, the Trojans tied for 4th place, with a combined score of 252. The Trojan team consists of all returning golfers from last year: Damien Baca, Kree Wallace, Matthew Dowell, Cody Netherton and Zaquery Cahill. Individual results for today’s tournament as follows:
-Damien Baca shot a personal high school record of 4 under par with a finishing score of 68, earning him 1st place overall.
-Cody Netherton finished with a score of 85, putting him in 17th place overall.
-Kree Wallace finished with a score of 99, placing him in 46th place overall.
-Matthew Dowell finished with a score of 101, putting him in 50th place overall.
-Zaquery Cahill finished with a score of 135, placing him in 73rd place overall.
The start of the Trojan Golf season is a busy one, with two more tournaments this week. Tomorrow the Trojans will compete in the Fowler Invite and later in the week, the Trojans will travel to Alamosa.
