There will be Science Olympiad practice for both HS and JH on Friday starting at 9 in Ms. Pointon's office.
Jr. High Pure Gold members enjoyed their Christmas party today with pizza and fun games!
High School Students:
If you bring in 5 cans at lunch you can receive an absence forgiveness coupon for finals. You are allowed to receive up to 2 coupons. Tomorrow will be the last day to bring in cans.
Finals: All forgiveness coupons are due to the office no later than December 11th at 4pm. Anything after that will not be counted toward the Fall Semester Testing. Finals Exemptions will be posted on the 16th by 4pm.
No JH wrestling tomorrow at La Junta, It has been cancelled.

HECTOR of the Week:
JH - Lucien-Lucien brings a lot of fun and good conversation to class. He offers help to his teachers and his peers whenever he can. He works hard in class and in sports. He is very coachable and gives full effort. Lucien serves as a strong representative for his peers. We are all very proud of how Lucien displays HECTOR in our school.HS - Leticia Salazar- She's a very polite and very respectful student who always completes her work on time and the work she turns in has a lot of thought put into it. She always helps her peers when they need it and these qualities make Leticia a great example of what it means to be HECTOR.Staff - Tech department Mr. Reyher and Mr. Garcia for Hector of the week. The tech department is always willing to help out anytime we have to bother them for help with our technical needs. They are willing to help with a smile. They always prioritize time to come down. We appreciate everything they do for not only the students at the schools but for all staff as well. Keep up the great work Mr. Reyher and Mr. Garcia. You two are a great example of Hector of the week. Keep smiling and working hard.
Athletes of the Week:
Breaking Blue Tournament- Senior Captain, Ana Wilson is the GBB athlete of the week. Each year, she has committed to improving and helping her team. This year it’s paying off. She scored 11 points in the championship game helping the team mount a comeback. We appreciate her discipline and motivation.
Athlete of the week for HS Boys Basketball is Jesus Aguilar. He was a spark plug off the bench coming in and providing energy fantastic out of a 6th man. He had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals over the weekend. Keep it up Jesus!
JH girls wrestling- Sylvanna Adame is my athlete of the week. Sylvanna went undefeated throughout our girl season. She is very coachable and dedicated to the sport. She has a very bright future in wrestling.
HS Wrestling athlete of the week- Cody Netherton - Cody captured his 100th win this weekend and finished in 1st place at the Fowler Grizzly Invitational.
(not pictured) HS Wrestling athlete of the week- Bree Tyler - Bree wrestled very well in a tough Pueblo Central tournament and finished with a 4-2 record.

Congratulations to the 7th graders for winning the BIG A for November - they had the highest percentage of attendance in the district- 96.32%. 8th grade was in 2nd place with 95.63% and 4th graders in 3rd place with 95.1%
