HECTOR of the Week
Staff - Jeremy Yoder is this week's HECTOR of the week. Mr. Yoder is having an amazing impact on our student's lives
and learning. He always sees and realizes our student's potential oftentimes, even before they do. The staff and
students appreciate his patience and guidance every step of the way. Whether a student is struggling to understand a
concept or they are simply needing a little extra encouragement, he is always there with a listening ear, helpful advice,
and words of support.
JH - Zeke Melendez-He has been an outstanding student this year. He is always very respectful and optimistic. He works hard in
class, and he has a great sense of humor. He displays HECTOR all the time!
HS - Abigail Jenkins - Abigail noticed when another student was in distress and came to their aide showing excellence to
help others.

JH Boys Basketball @ Hoehne Tournament Schedule for Saturday, Nov. 18:
This year for Progress Conferences at LAES, everyone who attended was entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card; one student and their teacher would each receive $50!
Congratulations to Easton Frazier for winning the drawing and his teacher Mrs. Hines also got one! 👍

Important Construction Update for Las Animas Elementary School & Jumpstart DayCare: Our HVAC units will be installed on this Friday, November 17th. No one will be allowed in the building or on the playground all day. JumpStart Daycare will also be closed. As long as all goes as planned, we should be fully functional with our new units on Monday, 11/20.

HECTOR of the Week:
Staff - Mr. Key. - He consistently brings a positive attitude to work each day. He has a heart for our students, he shows pride in his work through taking initiative and he shows humility in his work through his growth mindset and openness to collaboration. He has made himself an essential piece to our school!
JH - Ariel Lewis- has been working hard in all of her classes. She is polite and attentive in class. She has a good sense of humor. She is also a very good classmate, and helps out whenever she can.
HS - Niyana Baeza Tafoya has shown HECTOR, she follows directions and has taken leadership to put herself in situations to succeed and accomplish her personal and educational goals.
Friday, Nov 17 is the next cheer camp - Southeast Colorado Cheer Invitational! It will be held at the Lamar Community Building and hosted by Wiley. Good luck to our cheerleaders! 📣
