Staff - Ms. Cunnigham not only does a fantastic job running and maintaining the library, she also does an excellent job with the hard work of tracking attendance. She is diligent in following up with teachers when she notices discrepancies or has questions with attendance.
JH - Jordan Dupree is a great helper. She gets her classmates breakfast every morning. She helps out classmates on their school work. She also shows amazing school pride as a cheerleader.
HS - Janae Hawkins is a fun and intelligent student. She completes all her work on time and dives deep into her writing, and is extremely fun to teach
Las Animas School District will start their Christmas Break on Friday, Dec. 22; students will return on Tuesday, Jan. 9. (Monday, Jan. 8 will be a staff workday)

Congratulations JH & HS Cheer 📣. JH took gold (1st place) at the 1st Annual Wildcat Invitational in Holly. Perfect way to end out their competition season! Varsity finished out with 2nd place but made some huge improvements from our last competition. Now to fine tune their routine to get it ready for state next weekend at the Denver Colosseum!

Past School Board President, Steven Gallegos was recognized with a reception at the Nov. 20 LASD Board Meeting; Steven Gallegos reached his 10 year term limit to serve on the board.
He was presented a plaque by Superintendent Elsie Goines and everyone in attendance enjoyed a cake in his honor.
