New School Board Members were sworn in at the Nov. 20 LASD Board Meeting - Mrs. Kimberly Reyher, Mr. Alex Netherton and Mr. Matt Miller

Please join us for our Amazing Family Challenge, Friday, Dec. 1st at Las Animas Elementary School from 9 - noon. One of the activities will be a: Canned Food Drive - each family bring one item and you will be entered into a drawing to win four tickets to the North Pole! 🎅
Save the Date: JH Boys Basketball & JH Cheer Sports Pictures on Dec. 6 @ 2:00 p.m. (watch for order forms to be sent home closer to the date)
Cheerleader Fundraiser: the cheerleaders will be selling uniforms from past years; this one will be available at the first home HS basketball game on Dec. 5. This set will sell for $40
Staff Spotlight
Mrs. Wallace’s JH/HS staff played “Turkey In My Pocket” on Monday and Tuesday before their Thanksgiving Break! Four random staff members were given small turkeys at the beginning of the day, if asked “Have You Seen A Turkey?” By another staff members, they had to give up their turkey. At the end of the day, the four staff members with the turkeys got a prize! 🦃

HECTOR of the Week
Staff - Jeremy Yoder is this week's HECTOR of the week. Mr. Yoder is having an amazing impact on our student's lives
and learning. He always sees and realizes our student's potential oftentimes, even before they do. The staff and
students appreciate his patience and guidance every step of the way. Whether a student is struggling to understand a
concept or they are simply needing a little extra encouragement, he is always there with a listening ear, helpful advice,
and words of support.
JH - Zeke Melendez-He has been an outstanding student this year. He is always very respectful and optimistic. He works hard in
class, and he has a great sense of humor. He displays HECTOR all the time!
HS - Abigail Jenkins - Abigail noticed when another student was in distress and came to their aide showing excellence to
help others.
