LAES 6th graders partnered with Giving with Grace to write Christmas Cards to patients in hospitals and nursing homes around the nation. 6th graders love spreading joy this holiday season.
Mrs. Hines's class earned donuts for all their hard work on NWEA! They had amazing growth, she is so proud of them.
Athlete of Week
Brander Nichols - he played well in all 3 league games last week including scoring close to his career high with 20
against Fowler.
Evan Maes - is always ready to play and goes in and works hard. He had 8 points in a very exciting game vs. Hoehne.
The girls basketball Athletes of the Week are Chanel LaBarge and Ava LaBarge. These sisters are learning how to work on and off the court. Last week, they helped lead the Trojans to 2 league victories while battling through fevers and congestion. Chanel hit 2 free throws to seal both victories while Ava leads the team as a Freshman PG. Our season is off to a good start!

HECTOR of the Week
Staff - Carlos Garcia as he is very helpful in getting me out of computer problems and he is always willing to help as I
need other things done in the office.
JH - Evanni Enriquez-She is super helpful to teachers. She works very hard in class, and even asks her teachers for extra work. She has a fun
personality. She is very cheerful. She has a great sense of humor. Evanni is a great asset to Las Animas Schools!
HS - Olivia Banister is a true example of HECTOR. She has given her all in class over the course of the
semester in academics and cheer. Her excellence and respectful nature are amazing and noticed every day. Keep
it up Olivia!
