HECTOR of the Week
Staff- Mrs. Armstrong: Mrs. Armstrong has done a tremendous job changing the atmosphere of the small group room.
The students who are in there to catch up and do their work feel welcome, calm, and have a room where they can be
productive. On the flip side, students who are assigned the classroom for ISS do not feel like it is a cool place to hang out
as she maintains strict ISS expectations, ensures those students stay awake, and ensures they have work to complete
during their time in ISS. Keep up the great work Mrs. Armstrong
HS - Jacob Gearhart: Jacob is a bright kid when he decides to be. He has been a star in the Ag shop and has been a pillar
of the Ag industry in Las Animas throughout his high school career. He is an excellent representation of HECTOR as he
helps folks in the community and we are looking forward to seeing where his path takes him.
JH - Melina Russell-Melina has given excellent effort in all of her classes. She remains on task and works well with
others. She shows up to class ready and with a positive attitude. She is very respectful to her teachers. She also works
very hard in sports and is improving daily in track. We are all very proud of how Melina shows HECTOR in our school!
