Braley Spitz - LAHS JV Basketball Athlete of the Week. Braley played hard on defense this past weekend in the tournament and grabbed 12 total steals with 5 against Rye & 7 against La Junta. Keep working hard Braley.

LASD Spotlight:
Before Christmas Break, Lamar Community College visited with students in the senior class. They shared info about COSI - Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative. Big shout out to them for providing lunch and hoodies for the kids!
Ms. Antonia Vida presented at the 2023 Learning Forward Conference in Washington DC. The theme was Evidence into Action, speaking to the power of evidence-based practices and how to bridge research and implementation to improve results for each student. Dr. Ann Pearce, Dr. Jenny Edwards, and Antonia Vida presented on how to apply learnings to best practices in classrooms, teams, buildings, systems, and regions.
She was grateful for the opportunity to represent LASD with high quality delivery and content. This was a learning opportunity that Antonia will continue to network through and use to increase her capacity of instructional coaching and professional development.
Ms. Vida looks forward to presenting in 2024, in Aurora, Colorado. She wants to continue this upward trajectory by taking re-imagined possibilities and leveraging them with evidence-based practices to achieve the ultimate goal to reach new heights for our students.
