Mrs. Ensong and Mr. Legario are teaching the food science kiddos to make Lumpia during our world cooking unit!

HECTOR of the Week Staff - Mr. Jordan Melendez is my choice for Hector of the week. He is someone who is willing to help whenever it is needed, he changes his schedule to go wherever he is needed, is someone to count on whenever needed. He never shows or acts bothered when called upon. He loves the students and is always smiling at them and has a positive attitude whenever he is here. Thank you Jordan for being the one we can count on when we need help. You are a very valuable member of our team. JH - Naomi-Naomi is a very kind and hardworking individual. She has a fun sense of humor. She shows excellence in her classwork, and she goes above and beyond by helping out classmates whenever she can. She is very positive and optimistic. Naomi is an outstanding example of HECTOR in the junior high. HS - Kenneth Broome has been demonstrating HECTOR while working on his future plans. He has shown initiative in his studies, especially math. We appreciate that he is showing excellence and taking charge of his learning.

JH Athletes of the Week: 8th grade offensive - Mariella Gonazlaes has shown such improvement in the last 2 years. She is easily coachable and ready for any that she is faced with. 7th grade offensive - Tanaya Ethridge has the best attitude on and off the court, she is always leading her team to play hard and never give up.

Athletes of the Week HS Basketball: Varsity - Kollin Reyher. Last week Kollin played a crucial role in the comeback win against Cheraw, with his offensive output. We look forward to seeing him hit his stride as we enter the last part of the season. JV - Joziah Castro, He has worked hard all year and has progressed as an offensive talent not only scoring but facilitating for his teammates. Varsity-Janaya Baca has an invaluable role this year. Her quiet leadership and observations help the coaching staff reflect and make necessary changes. During the last four years, she has committed to our culture and philosophy. We are so proud to have her! JV- Mia Mora HS Cheer: Melany LeBron Perez is my athlete of the week. Her love and dedication for cheer leading is inspiring. Keep up the great work!
