Update from Ms. Goines: After working with BCPH and looking at the staff and student quarantine data, LASD will reopen December 7th for in person learning for all grade levels. We acknowledge the seriousness of COVID 19 as we implement more safety precautions with our return to in-person learning to finish the semester.
The parent survey results do support the need and desire for in person learning.
• 72% of parents wanted in person and/or in person with options
• 30% of parents wanted remote only
As we move to reopen on December 7th, it is important for folks to know that BCPH continues to have ultimate authority to close school. In saying that, I want to ensure parents and community members, we will continue to implement all guidance concerning student/parent and staff cases as they relate to the school.

Food Pantry will be open tonight - Monday, Nov 30
If you currently get weekly backpacks, they can be picked up in the district office at 1021 2nd Street on Thursday, December 3rd before 4:00 p.m. Please return empty backpacks when picking up the new one. Call 456-0161 if you want them to meet you at the north door in the bus lane.

Jump Start & Mixed Age Preschool Classes: there will be tubs set outside the doors on the north side of the Elementary school with homework packets. Please stop by and get one. They will be there from 8:00 - 4:00 Mon-Thurs. Jump Start will be at the 1st pod and Mixed Ages at the last pod.
