Sept. 18 update on Las Animas High School from Superintendent Elsie Goines:
Reminder: there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, Sept 23 for Preschool - 12th grade. (Staff will be having a professional development day) Daycare will operate as normal.

Trojan Golfers: Damien Baca, TJ Ortiz, Jack O’Connor, and Kollin Reyher played at Holly Dot Golf Course today in the Santa Fe League Championship. Damien placed 3rd, TJ placed 4th, Jack was in the top ten, and Kollin Reyher shaved 14 strokes off of his score from Tuesday. All golfers played well and helped the team place 2nd. Congrats Trojan Golfers!
As of right not…..the games are still on today - Junior high football at 4:00 and high school football at 7:00. Junior high volleyball in Hoehne is still on for tomorrow. Watch our social media for updates.

The High School "C" Team Volleyball tournament in Rye is cancelled for Friday, Sept. 17
The High School Volleyball game today (Thursday 9/16) vs Hoehne has been cancelled. All other games this week will take place as scheduled.

The Rawlings Heritage Center & Museum is offering FREE ADMISSION this Saturday, September 18th, as part of the 17th Museum Day, put on by the Smithsonian Magazine. We are celebrating the reopening of museums after closures due to the pandemic. This year’s theme, “Experience America,” represents the return and resurgence of the country’s diverse cultural experiences. We will be open from noon until 4pm on Saturday! Junior High VB team wore blue ribbons on their shoes and played their hearts out for Wiley tonight #wileystrong 💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍💙
📣 Jr. High VB will arrive around 7:00 p.m - they are delayed due to rain
⛳️ 9/13 - Four Trojan golfers: Damien Baca, Jackson O’Connor, TJ Ortiz and Cordell Reisch played in the lamar invitational. All golfers played well and helped us be top 5 as a team. Damien Baca placed 2nd as an individual.
9/14 - five Trojan Golfers: Damien Baca, Shad Chavez, Ben Nevland, Kollin Reyher and Bryan Aguilar played in the Rye SFL Tournament. All golfers enjoyed playing on the new course and are looking forward to playing Rye again.
