Yesterday the Trojans competed at the Santa Fe League tournament in Rye. The results are as follows, Damien, 2nd(scorecard playoff) 80. TJ 4th, 85. Jackson 15th, 101. Kree 17th, 105. The Trojans took 3rd place as a team, with a combined score of 266. The Trojans will next compete in Cortez for regionals.

From Transportation Director at Las Animas School District, Greg Bullock: Due to a shortage of drivers, it is necessary to cancel in town bus service for bus #1 and bus #2 afternoon routes. Please make arrangements to pick up your students at parent pick up. Today should be the only day affected by this cancellation but we will keep you informed as things developed. ⛳️ Today the Trojans competed in the Thunderbolt Open in Rye. All golfers played well. Damien was the tournament champion with a score of 76. Damien has won 5 straight tournaments. He hopes to make it #6 on Wednesday. TJ took 5th place with a score of 96. TJ played Hollydot well. He plans to work on his tee shots ahead of Wednesday’s Santa Fe League tournament. Jackson finished 13th at with a score of 104. He’ll be working on his course management ahead of Wednesday. Kree and Matthew finished 23rd and 24th with scores of 126 and 133. Kree looks to better his mental game and course management before Wednesday. Matthew enjoyed his final tournament of the year. He can’t wait for next golf season to start. As a team, the Trojans took 2nd place with a combined score of 276, just shy of 1st place by 4 strokes. The Trojans will play on Wednesday in Rye for the SFL Tournament, and Regionals next Tuesday in Cortez.

Lamar junior high volleyball tournament this Saturday:
7th grade will be at the middle school dome, and they will play at 10:00 am and 11:00 am.
8th grade will be at the community building, and they will play at 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
⛳️ Today the Trojans competed in the Meloneer Invitational. All golfers played well in the high temperatures throughout the day. Damien took first place with a score of 72. This is his 3rd consecutive win. Jackson shot a 97 taking 20th. TJ took 23rd with a 105. Dayton took 30th carding a 114. Kree 116 placing 30th. The Trojans will play in La Junta again on friday. GO TROJANS!!!
