Athletes of the Week:
Volleyball athletes of the week were: Chanel LaBarge and Analyce Wilson and Emma Netherton and Janaya Baca.
Cheer: Alicia Deatherage: she is a very dependable member of the squad with a great attitude and willing to help wherever she
is needed.
Audali Martinez: She always comes into practice with a smile on her face and ready to work hard. She is a key member
of our team and we are excited to watch her grow.



HECTOR of the Week
Staff - Chastity Duran always has a smile and greets all with respect.
JH - Kinley Reyher-She is an outstanding student-athlete and a great person. She is very coachable in the classroom and on the
court. She works very hard in everything she does.
HS - Izabel Trujillo has done really good work in class, she is motivated to take tougher classes all while being a
successful athlete.

Booster Club will meet on Sunday at 4 pm @ LAES to talk about Homecoming plans. Everyone is welcome to attend.


⛳️ Goooooo Trojans! Both V and JV had tournaments on 9/7.
Varsity played in the Rocky Ford Meloneers Invitational. Damien dominated the course and took his closest contender by 10 strokes. He retakes the number one spot in the region. As a team, the Trojans placed 4th. Individual results are:
Damien Baca - 1st place (71)
Kree Wallace - 24th place (100)
Cody Netherton - 33rd place (104)
Matthew Dowell - 44th (112)
Junior Varsity playing in the Rye Tournament (9 holes). As a team, the Trojans placed 3rd. Individual results are:
Pace Wallace - 8th place (51)
Kevin Nevland - 16th place (57)
Zaquery Cahill - 19th place (66)
All golfers finished strong and mentally remained in the tournament. As a whole team, the Trojans have improved in performance and perseverance.

Football Athlete of the Week: Orion Martinez - Orion led the team in rushing, receiving and tackles against Lyons. He
had an outstanding game.

HECTOR of the Week for JH & HS:
JH - Audali Martinez-She has been very optimistic and respectful this year. She is very pleasant to be around, and she is an
outstanding student.
Staff -Mr. Dennis Montoya. He is optimistic everyday. He loves learning and building relationships with staff and students. He shows excellence because he wants to learn and grow as a teacher.
HS - Nic Duran: Nic has been doing a great job in Ag and Food Science. He has really stepped up and exhibited
excellence in speaking being an exemplary student.

⛳️ HS Golf Update: The Trojans Varsity Golf Team had back to back tournaments.
The first tournament was the Lamar Thunder Invitational on 8/31. As a team, the Trojans placed 4th out of 12 teams.
There were 49 total golfers. Individual placement and scores follow:
Damien Baca - 1st place (77)
Cody Netherton - 21st place (99)
TJ Ortiz - 22nd place (101)
Kree Wallace - 27th place (103)
The next tournament was the Rye Thunderbolt Invitational on 9/1. As a team, the Trojans placed 2nd out of 21 teams.
There were 92 total golfers. Individual placement and scores follow:
Damien Baca - 1st place (75)
TJ Ortiz - 13th place (84)
Cody Netherton - 19th place (88)
Kree Wallace - 32nd place (94)
This tournament was a the first tournament of the season that all Trojans scored lower than 100, which has been one of the teams goals. Also, 9/1 marked Damien’s 6th tournament win of the season!
