Post Prom Meeting: at the Elementary School on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 5:30 in the library. This will be Mrs. Sarah Huffman's final year organizing Post Prom and if anyone wants to take over the organization, please contact her or go to the meeting. LASD Spotlight:
Las Animas School District will begin its superintendent search as Ms. Goines is retiring at the end of the school year. The District has hired a search firm to assist in filling this position. We will have a stakeholder meeting for parents, students and community members. This meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 31st at the Junior High Media Lab from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. This is your opportunity for your voice to be heard, please plan on attending.
5th - 8th Grade Girls: Don't forget to turn in your permission form to attend Girls In The Middle! Registration opens next week and is limited.
Booster Club will meet on Sunday, January 28th at 4 pm at LAES. We welcome new faces to support our Trojan student athletes.

HS Basketball Athletes of the Week
JV - Matthew Dowell - Matt always works hard on the court and looks to score for himself, but is willing to make an extra pass to get the team a good look. Keep it up Matt.
Varsity - Tayton Coulter - Tayton is a tremendous leader on the court, he is aggressive at both ends of the court and puts his teammates in situations to be successful. We are excited to have him back for the second half of the season.
HS Wrestling Athlete of the Week: Caleb Mobley, he has shown a lot of improvement this season and is becoming a leader on our team.
