Regional Cross Country is this Friday, Oct. 24th! All of the XC athletes will be participating. Izabella Martinez, , Izabell Trujillo, Lia Cadenas, Ayala , Layf Skadberg, James Linenberger, and. Deon Wilson. They are coached by: Mrs. Jenn Pointon and Mr. Anthony Legario. Some excerpts: top 15 athletes will go to state. It is hosted by Rye at the Hollydot Golf Course in Colorado City, Running starts at 11 am and we encourage anyone who can, to come support them. Congratulations Mr. Marlow and his art students! Here are their placings from the harvest Show on Oct. 8. Our 3rd place winners were Elizabeth Gallegos, Orion Martinez, Mariah Duran, Alyssa Japhet, and Brooklynn Phillips. 2nd place winners were Jadann Eck, Emily Nevland, Liliana Magana, Nylah Flores, Nolan Muniz, James Lineneberger, and Sloane Lockhart. 1st place winners were Lilly Lane, Dallee Nichols, Audali Martinez, Mayela Magana, and Myra Craig. The Reserve Grand Champion was Mckinzie Gonzales, and your 1st place Grand Champion winner was Dahlia Lane. We want to wish congratulations to all of the winners.

Empower Together Mentoring Field trip for JH/HS students to Top Golf in Colorado Springs on Nov. 15 - ( Space is limited - get you permission forms back ASAP if you want to go) Pick up and return permission forms to the High School office by noon on Thursday, Oct 24th - we'll fill the spaces on a first come first serve basis. The original permission form must be filled out and turned in.

Nicholas Duran is the athlete of the week against McClave. Duran had two crucial catches, totaling 31 yards, to put the Trojans in scoring position of friday. Defensively Duran had 3 total tackles, and 1 interception for 37 yards.

Ava LaBarge is the volleyball athlete of the week. She has consistently shown what it means to be a team player as she has stepped into many new roles. Ava always puts the team first. Her leadership and communication on the court help set the tone for success. Keep it up!

HECTOR of the Week
Staff - Mrs. Elisha Garcia for Hector of the week due to her exceptional commitment to our school community and students.
Her tireless work ethic is evident in all aspects of her role. She consistently exhibits professionalism in her interactions
with parents, staff, and when answering phone calls.
JH - Annabelle-Annabelle is a great addition to LA Junior High. She has a bubbly personality. She greets adults with a
smile and a fun handshake everyday. She adds a lot to class discussions with her knowledge. She does extra work for
classes, and she serves as a teacher's aide when needed. We are very proud of Annabelle and the way she shows
HECTOR."
HS - Seriah Martinez is stepping up as a senior academic leader. In food science she leads her team in the kitchen and in
English and Geography she steps up to the standards that she knows are set for her. She is always coachable, tolerant of
others, and honest to a T.

If you’re in sports, your coaches already know about this activity - please talk to them about attending. (E-Sports does have a couple matches that they will do first).

This is an awesome way to give back, be a role model, and have a good time with our younger Trojans! 💙

Esports Update: Max played a big game today. He is ranked 6th and played a team ranked 3rd in the mountain region, he won 68-33 and is now ranked 1st in the mountain region, that's a very impressive accomplishment, good job and keep up the good work.
