High School Student Council Officers and their sponsor, Mrs. Carly Koch went to the La Junta radio station this morning to talk about Homecoming Week.






Athlete of the Week for HS Football:
Defense: Braydon Ortiz had a great defensive game with 8 total tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, with one being a sack.
Offense: Orion Martinez played tough against McClave with 22 carries for 68 yards rushing.


High School Volleyball Athletes of the Week:
V: Emma Russell - After needing someone to step up and fulfill the role of a middle hitter and blocker, Emma Russel did so without hesitation. She came in aggressive and worked hard to do her job in the front row. She is a great teammate and has been very coachable. Keep it up, Emma!

HS - Deon Wilson is our choice. He is an extremely smart, but humble person. He is respectful and self motivated to do his best every day. He is truly HECTOR and a great role model for his peers.
JH - Aubrie Gonzales-Aubrie has had a great start this year. The quality of her classroom is fantastic. She is very respectful to her teachers and peers. She shows excellence in the effort she puts forth. We are all proud of how Aubrie shows HECTOR everywhere. (come to the office for a picture)


High School Fall Athletes: if you took your picture for the Homecoming Trading Cards, we will go over to the elementary right after lunch on Wednesday. Meet Ms. Waring in the cafeteria after lunch to pick up your trading cards and to load on the buses.


Mr. Montoya's 8th grade science classes are studying plant and animal cells. This is their amazing work!
