Esports Update on Mario Kart from Coach Carlos Garcia: This was the end of the fall season and they didn't make the playoffs, they went "3-5" and they also lost some games that were really close and competitive.
Esports update from Coach Carlos Garcia: This was the end of the fall regular season and he didn't make the playoffs. Hitstick went "2-6" and he ranked "34th" in the mountain region. He did play two sports this fall season and we had a lot of late practices and he is better than his record shows, he lost a few close games, good job!!!
Esports Update on Madden from Coach Carlos Garcia : Madden 25 team Blue Rush went "5-3" and he is ranked "13th" in the mountain region. He made it to the 1st round of the playoffs and he will be playing this week and there aren't any dates set on the bracket yet. Good job and very excited for next week playoffs!!!

JH & HS Basketball Schedule Updates:
JH basketball game with Trinidad for Saturday November 23 at 11 am. The game is in Trinidad.
(Previously scheduled on 12/4)
Also, due to us hosting the High School Santa Fe League Wrestling Tournament on January 16th, the HS basketball game scheduled with SCA at home will now be played at SCA, on 1/16 - 4:30 pm start.

HECTOR of the Week
JH - Abigail Netherton -Gator has been doing an outstanding job in all of her classes. She has really stepped it up in
Math in particular. She has been very coachable in both class and sports. She gives full effort in everything she does. She
is a great example of HECTOR for Las Animas Junior High and Las Animas sports.
HS - Emma Russell: Emma was a wonderful representative of HECTOR while on the FFA National Convention trip. She
has been optimistic in staying on top of her tasks while gone and came back ready to implement what she learned.
Staff - My nomination for Hector of the week is Ann Marfil. Mrs. Marfil has displayed her dedication to LASD in a
number of ways and always steps up to the plate. She cares about the success of the students and assists them in reaching
their potential. Mrs Marfil supports teachers as well as students to the best of her ability.
