HECTOR of the Week
Gizelle Jasim for the Hector of the week. Ms. Jasim is very helpful to her student in the classroom. She is very pleasant
when she calls me for a student's need to come to my office for medications or illness. If I am not available at the time,
she is willing to wait and send the child when I am done with others.

HS Basketball Athletes of the Week
Varsity - Nicholas Duran. He played well off the bench and provided crucial energy and minutes in a game
where we were flat as a team. He also scored 9 points in the 4th quarter, helping to close out the win against
Ellicott.
JV - Matthew Dowell. He provides leadership and coachability for other athletes. He has worked hard all year
and continues to grab rebounds, provide energy on defense and find open teammates on offense.
Mayela Magana is the varsity pick this week. She came off the bench against Ellicott focused and ready to go. Between
her tough defense against their best shooter and grabbing defensive boards, May was everywhere. She also put up 8
