We had so much fun at the 91st SFTD! Thank you to all the judges who helped at the King Contest on Thursday, the costume contest and king/queen interviews on Friday. #HappyTrails

Today during Santa Fe Trail day, the Jr. high school students took a field trip to the National Cemetery at Fort Lyon. Students learned about the flag code and how weathering affects gravestones. They also looked at gravestones for information about the deceased buried there and created maps of the important features of the cemetery. Afterwards, students ate a sack lunch at Fort Lyon. Thank you Mr. Yoder for sharing the pictures!

Tomorrow's High School Baseball game will be played at Otero College baseball field. Start time is 10:00am.

91st Annual Santa Fe Trail Day is tomorrow, Friday, April 25th! When you are at the high school, check out all the t-shirt designs that were submitted for this year. Mr. Harry Marlow, JH/HS Art Teacher was in charge of the t-shirt design contest this year. 🎨

SFTD RanchBurger Lunch tomorrow from 11-1 in the high school cafeteria. Come support the Sophomore Class for their fundraiser. Buy tickets from any Sophomore or at the door for $10 each. The RanchBurger sponsor is Mr. David Armstrong.

Good luck to our 2025 King Candidates, they are getting ready to start their skills contest at the bus barn! Come on down and watch! The King/Queen will be announced during the awards ceremony tomorrow at 2 pm in the HS gym. #HappyTrails

The FBLA state qualifiers competed hard this weekend in Denver at the state leadership conference. The competition was tough this year, Kevin Nevland worked hard to crack the top ten, coming up one spot short of qualifying for nationals placing Fifth place in Computer Problem Solving. We are hungry to continue to work hard for our events next year. If you have any questions about FBLA or how to join feel free to reach out to a chapter member or Mr. Gallegos.

Santa Fe Trail Day is this Friday, April 25th! A big shout out to Mr. Cody Allen for coaching all the square dancers this year, we appreciate all the time he volunteers to do this. All these kids have been practicing since February to dance at SFTD - please come support them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. 👏

Santa Fe Trail Day is this Friday, April 25th! Check out the SFTD Queen/King & History Timeline hanging in the high school cafeteria! There are pictures and history from the first SFTD Queen in 1934 - Jewel Meyer to 2024 King & Queen - Espi Marlow and Jesus Aguilar Castro. The History Timeline was created by Mrs. Koch’s Otero US History Class.
