HS Athlete of the Week

Athlete of the Week
Athlete of the week for Cross Country is Deon Wilson. He PRed twice this week. Once at the Thunderbolt Invite on
Thursday by cutting a full minute from his best time. Then, he beat that time at a tougher course on Saturday at the
Coronado Classic. Great job Deon! You're getting closer to that sub-20 goal every meet!

Mayela Magana - Mayela is always working hard and it shows. She had a fantastic game against Rye. She did great all
over the court, racking up 11 kills , 31 serve receptions and 1 ace. Great work Mayela!

Valery Lebron Perez is our JH Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the tremendous growth she has shown on the court. Her passing has improved greatly, and she is becoming more confident in her serving abilities. Valery continues to learn the game of volleyball, and her progress and hard work are showing each week.  

This week’s HS Football Athlete of the Week honors go to Scott Banister following a strong all-around performance against the Holly Wildcats.
Banister made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball, recording 13 total tackles, including six solo tackles and seven assists. He also came away with an interception.
His contributions didn’t stop on defense. Banister also made a big play offensively, hauling in a 46-yard reception for a touchdown.
Congratulations to Scott Banister on a well-deserved honor!
