The Las Animas Elementary School has been recognized by the Colorado Department of Education for demonstrating exceptional student longitudinal academic growth as measured by the Colorado Growth Model. LAES is one of only 18 schools that earned this recognition based on the 2025 School Performance Framework used to evaluate school.
