DON’T LIMIT YOUR CHALLENGES – CHALLENGE YOUR LIMITS
This was the motto for the LASD initiated staff health challenge in September that will cover 8 months of school time.
The Month 1, Staff Health Challenge Awards go to:
Ann Marfil in 1st place -- 100 pts
Susan Waring in 2nd place --- 95 pts
Jenn Pointon in 3rd place --- 90 pts
The BIG surprise was that staff didn’t know that they would receive $100 in Bonus Bucks for participation in the staff health challenge first 4 weeks; rewarding staff for taking care of themselves physically and mentally. It is proven that over time little healthy habits change health outcomes for the better and cause a rippling effect that brings down business health insurance costs as well as long term out of pocket costs for staff.
